Photograph & Frame

I called to see if they would help me install just a paperback on a frame I had changed the photos from. The lady on the phone was very nice. I showed up today and aaron helped me out. He did that very quickly and efficiently. I was very happy with the service I got from the phone call to the in-store experience. I had used them before and will continue to do so because the results are 100% up to my satisfaction, the prices and timing are competitive and the customer service is on point! Thank you guys!

I've gotten several items custom framed with Photograph & Frame. They've always done a good job, but after this last experience, I won't be going back. I picked up a large poster I had custom framed and took it home. The included hanging hardware looked too skimpy to support the frame, but figured they were the experts and would know what the hook could support. Sure enough, after a few hours, the frame felll, leaving a large hole in the wall. Luckily, my husband was on the couch beneath the frame and was able to stop it before it smashed on the floor. When I first called and then emailed the store about the incident, they implied that I must not know how to hang a picture, despite having purchased several frames from them. Someone must have just grabbed a hook that was too weak by mistake, but immediately pushing the incident back on me left me annoyed. They were no help and the customer service was lacking. I now have to get my wall fixed. I purchased my own stronger hook and the picture is up on the wall and going strong, but I won't be going back to this shop. If you go here, make sure you check the hook they gave you! If it's too weak and you have an issue, you'll be entirely on your own.

In response to the business response below, as I said in my review, I was able to hang the picture. That's not the issue. The issue is that their mistake caused my wall to be damaged. Wouldn't go there again.

Photograph and Frame took amazing care of me today. On Christmas Eve, I am needing some last minute prints and frames. They are so flexible and go above and beyond. Super friendly service, fast, great product. I think this is my first Yelp review, but it's rare I get service like this in SF, so how to shout them out. Thank you to Gary and Alyssa!!

Customer service: not great.

I walked in hoping to get a quote on a custom frame, I had a general idea of the measurements / wood etc, but the person helping me came off pretentious and refused to give me a very high level range for a quote. Given, I don't know much about framing but instead of being helpful and asking questions, the person came off rude and didn't provide any guidance.

I have decided to take my business elsewhere as my first impression wasn't great.

I went to several frame shops searching for the right frame. I explained to Iliysa what I was looking for and she quickly went to work, finding me 5 good options. I even got to take them home to match it up w/ the space, which helped us make the final decision. I ordered the two mirrors for our master bathroom and the frames and corners cuts were lined up nicely! Very pleased w/ the customer service and selection!

They've framed everything from paintings I've schlepped home from Ubud to vintage photographs of my grandmother from the early 1900's. I've been loyal to this shop for a number of years and they've always done an amazing job with helping me with both ready-made frames and with custom framing. Turnaround time is reasonable and so are the prices. They really are one of the best in the city.

Went above and beyond by receiving a custom project for my husbands's 40th and getting it perfectly built in under a week. Rockstars. Always deliver highest quality work and I trust them implicitly. This time it was with a custom piece of commissioned art on a vintage map. No small task. They nailed it.

I was very impressed by my experience with photograph&frame! I had brought a collection of photos in to have a framed collage made to give as a gift. When I came to pick it up, Ilysa noticed that I was staring at it oddly. She approached me and asked if everything was alright. I told her that the layout did not look as I had expected it to. Without missing a beat, Ilysa started talking to me about ways in which to modify the layout of the mat to make the collage look better. When the revised mat was being worked on Ilysa called me and then texted me photos of it for my input and approval. Talk about amazing customer service! And the rework was done at no extra charge.

I love the framed collage that I will be gifting for the holidays and I know the person I'm giving it to will as well. I couldn't be happier with how things worked out with photograph&frame. Ilysa and the rest of the team are community-focused, customer-oriented, quality people who I look forward to bringing my next framing project to. I had a great experience at Photograph & Frame! You definitely get what you pay for, and this shop is not cheap but they provide high quality frames and prints. They are efficient, helpful, and I would definitely come here again! They had a lot of patience helping me make exactly what I had in mind!
