MURFREESBORO — The Cookeville High School basketball team fell one win shy of a TSSAA Division I Class 4A state championship in 2024 as the Cavaliers lost to the Independence Eagles 53-44 Saturday morning in the finals of the BlueCross Basketball Championships at Middle Tennessee State University.
