Preparations are underway for the fourth annual MSU Juneteenth Commemorative Celebration on Friday, June 14. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans on June 19, 1865, in Galveston, Texas.

Banding peregine falcons

Researchers from MSU's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources partnered to place unique identification bands on peregrine falcon chicks to monitor their movements and to help the species recover.
