USAC)Daison Pursley celebrated his 100th
career USAC NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship
feature start in style during Saturday night’s Huncovsky Classic
at the Belleville (Kan.) Short Track. Pursley (Locust Grove,
Okla.) tracked down and passed Ryan Timms with 15 laps remaining
to score his first series victory since August of 2021 and his
first since a severe spinal cord injury in a USAC Midget event
later that same year nearly derailed his career.

USAC)The sign at the turn four gate of
the Belleville High Banks states boldly and proudly that this
place is “where legends are made.” The legend of Kaylee Bryson
is still growing, but on Saturday night at the 1/2-mile dirt
oval in north central Kansas, she cemented herself in the record
books by becoming the first woman to win a USAC nationally
sanctioned event in the 69-year history of the organization.USAC 5/19

Must See Racing)Bobby Santos III saved
the best for the very last Saturday evening during the season
opener for the Must See Racing Perfit Sprint Car Series. Santos
used a high-side sweep in turns three and four of the
always-racy Berlin Raceway to slip past five-time series
champion Jimmy McCune coming to two laps to go.

Port Royal Speedway PA)For the third time
in five races at Port Royal Speedway, the winning Weikert
Livestock 410 sprint car driver started from 9th or further back
to pick up the win and claim an extra $300 on top of their
winnings. Tyler Courtney was the driver on May 18th to do just
that as he prepared for a bigger weekend to come at The Speed
Palace. Courtney would start on the outside of the 5th row and
charge his way into the top 5 inside the first 4 laps. Garrett
Bard, in his second year of full time 410 sprint car racing,
would start on the pole of the A-main event and would lead the
opening 17 laps of the race.

Wayne County Speedway OH)After 2 weeks of
downpour and even a late shower on race day Orrville’s Historic
Dirt Oval comes alive again. While not racing for points the
Pine Tree Towing sprint cars still had a strong 17 car field.
Ricky Peterson would dominate on the start. Lap 2 would see the
first Bucks Auto Sales red flag as Cody Bova would snag a rut
and end up on his side. The racing would resume once more.Race Results5/19

(Kan.) High Banks a USAC Silver Crown winner one year ago. On
Friday night, he and his Chris Dyson Racing No. 9 showed that
they’re still the ones to beat at the 1/2-mile dirt oval in

victory in September of 2022, McIntosh returned to glory on the

starting position, then dominating the 30-lap distance from

World of Outlaws)Sprint Car Racing
history was made Wednesday night at Lincoln Speedway. All
the hype heading into Lincoln Speedway’s Federated Auto Parts
Gettysburg Clash was the renewal of the World of Outlaws NOS
Energy Drink Sprint Car and Pennsylvania Posse rivalry. And
while the atmosphere was alive and well in the Pigeon Hills, the
evening evolved into a historic occasion not for the rivalry,
but for The Greatest Show on Dirt. David Gravel and Big Game
Motorsports had been on a tear entering Pennsylvania. Their
previous 11 races consisted of four wins and eight top two
finishes. And each victory pushed Tod Quiring’s team closer and
closer to 100 career World of Outlaws triumphs. Last Saturday
Gravel put them at 99 with a trip to Victory Lane, meaning

USAC)The jubilation following a
hard-fought victory is one of the most satisfying experiences in
all of sport. However, the celebration displayed by Justin Grant
in the immediate moments after his USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car
National Championship score on Saturday night at Ohio’s Eldora
Speedway was certainly one that won’t soon be forgotten. It
seems oddly fitting that it came directly after an unforgettable
30-lap feature in which Grant (Ione, Calif.) threw everything –
the kitchen sink and a bag of chips – at leader Logan Seavey
down the stretch of the #LetsRaceTwo finale before prevailing
with a turn one slider just three laps from the finish line.
After crossing the finish line 1.397 seconds ahead of Seavey to
pocket the $10,000 prize, Grant proceeded with a cool down lap
on the half-mile dirt oval, then a subsequent victory lap which
seemed positively routine…until it wasn’t. Appearing to be
winding up his car for a series of donuts, Grant stood on the
gas and slapped his right rear tire against the turn three
outside wall, sending him for a ride consisting of 2.5 tumbles.

World of Outlaws)Eldora Speedway showed
exactly why it’s known as “The World’s Greatest Dirt Track” on
Saturday night. The #LetsRaceTwo finale for the World of Outlaws
NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars gave fans a main event they
couldn’t look away from. It was everything you could ask for. A
10-time champion battling a driver eying his first. A tricky
racing surface with multiple grooves. Several late passes for
the lead including one last move to secure the victory on the
last lap.World of Outlaws5/5

High Limit)The stars were out in full
force as Shane Stewart's Heartland of America Showdown opened on
Friday night at Kansas City's Lakeside Speedway with 39 of the
nation's best beginning their quest for a $50,000 payday.
Altoona, Iowa's Austin McCarl earned the pole position by
winning the FK Rod Ends Dash and was joined by Parker
Price-Miller on the front row of the 25-lap A-Main. McCarl led
the opening five circuits before it became a three-way battle
for the lead and things really heated up. Third-starting Tyler
Courtney officially took the lead on Lap 6 and promptly brought
fifth-starting Brad Sweet with him as the duo split McCarl and
formed their own fight for control of the field. Officially,
"Sunshine" and "The Big Cat" only swapped the lead four times -
but there were countless exchanges and slidejobs that won't go
down in the box score.

sure his car would stick, nor did he even think he was close
enough to take his shot on the final two turns of Friday night’s
#LetsRaceTwo opener at Rossburg, Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.
Residing a half-straightaway back from leader Kyle Cummins as he
took the white flag, Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.) put his right rear
tire right up next to the outside wall all the way around the
half-mile dirt oval, and ultimately, tracked down the low-riding
Cummins to win at the stripe by mere inches – .016 second to be
