Say What!

“This has been a long time coming,My team has worked so hard, and they’ve believed in me for so long. I’m so happy to pull off a win for them. This car was on rails tonight. There are so many people that go into this and I’m so thankful for them because, without them, this wouldn’t be possible.” Kaylee Bryson winning Belleville KS USAC Silver Crown

“I’m just super happy to finally win a race this year,These Roth Motorsports guys have been unbelievable. This is the best I’ve ever felt in a Sprint Car. I owe all of that to Dylan, Nate, and Gage. They work their butts off, and we have a hell of a lot of fun together. This one’s for them and of course Dennis and Teresa Roth at home. They gave me a great opportunity to drive such an iconic car, and I’m just really blessed to do it." Buddy Kofoid winning Attica OH WoO

“We tried a different car tonight and I think we might be onto something with this car handling the shorter tracks better, It seemed like I could run anywhere with so much drive off the corners”. Aaron Reutzel winning Lee County IA POWRi 410

Short Track. Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) was the quickest of all in Friday’s USAC Silver Crown practice at Belleville, which served as the final tune-up for teams and drivers before the 50-lap Huncovsky Classic main event set for Saturday night, May 18. • USAC)The jubilation following a hard-fought victory is one of the most satisfying experiences in all of sport. However, the celebration displayed by Justin Grant in the immediate moments after his USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship score on Saturday night at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway was certainly one that won’t soon be forgotten. It seems oddly fitting that it came directly after an unforgettable 30-lap feature in which Grant (Ione, Calif.) threw everything – the kitchen sink and a bag of chips – at leader Logan Seavey down the stretch of the #LetsRaceTwo finale before prevailing with a turn one slider just three laps from the finish line. After crossing the finish line 1.397 seconds ahead of Seavey to pocket the $10,000 prize, Grant proceeded with a cool down lap on the half-mile dirt oval, then a subsequent victory lap which seemed positively routine…until it wasn’t. Appearing to be winding up his car for a series of donuts, Grant stood on the gas and slapped his right rear tire against the turn three outside wall, sending him for a ride consisting of 2.5 tumbles.  5/5

  • High Limit)The stars were out in full force as Shane Stewart's Heartland of America Showdown opened on Friday night at Kansas City's Lakeside Speedway with 39 of the nation's best beginning their quest for a $50,000 payday. Altoona, Iowa's Austin McCarl earned the pole position by winning the FK Rod Ends Dash and was joined by Parker Price-Miller on the front row of the 25-lap A-Main. McCarl led the opening five circuits before it became a three-way battle for the lead and things really heated up. Third-starting Tyler Courtney officially took the lead on Lap 6 and promptly brought fifth-starting Brad Sweet with him as the duo split McCarl and formed their own fight for control of the field. Officially, "Sunshine" and "The Big Cat" only swapped the lead four times - but there were countless exchanges and slidejobs that won't go down in the box score. High Limit 5/3

Residing a half-straightaway back from leader Kyle Cummins as he took the white flag, Ballou (Rocklin, Calif.) put his right rear tire right up next to the outside wall all the way around the half-mile dirt oval, and ultimately, tracked down the low-riding Cummins to win at the stripe by mere inches – .016 second to be precise – and pocket $10,000 for his efforts.USAC5/3
