It will be clear and a bit cooler overnight with wake-up temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. Our average overnight low for early May is 53 degrees, so higher-than-normal overnight temperatures are expected.

Yet another warmer-than-average day is expected across the DMV with highs nearing 90 degrees for many. Fortunately, humidity levels will remain low. It will be a bright, sunny day, so remember to wear sunglasses and sunscreen.

Winds: NE to SE 5-15, Gusts 20 mph
Our weather pattern starts to change a bit by Friday, as a backdoor cold front slides through. This means our winds will shift out of the east bringing in added clouds and lower temperatures. It will turn breezy Friday evening with rain chances possible late at night.

THIS WEEKEND:
Wet weather chances are on the rise this weekend, especially Saturday night into Sunday morning. Rainfall totals may exceed 1-inch in many neighborhoods. Highs in the 60s and lower 70s can be expected.
