Salavatski Russian Pomegranate Tree 2-4′

$24.75

Trees are 2-4″  when shipped
Salavatski is one of our most requested varieties! Very large pale red fruit, with red arils and sweet/tart juice. Very cold hardy and very productive.  Grows to 10-12′

These pomegranate trees are sweet, juicy and can survive temperatures down to 5 degrees in zones 6-9. Plus they produce an abundance of beautiful bright orange flowers over an extended period of time during the spring. Both the flowers and the fruit are produced at a very young age. We’ve seen fruit on 2-year old plants!

Trees grow to about 10 feet in height with an equal spread at maturity. Exceptionally heat tolerant. Prefers full sun for best fruit production but will tolerate some light shade. Adaptable to almost any type of soil providing the soil is well-drained. Quite drought tolerant when established.

Ripens in late September and October.

Zones: 6-9       Chill Hours:  100-200

Product Profile

Calcium Nitrate Fertilizer – 5 lb. Bag

$10.95

Calcium nitrate contains two of the basic nourishment elements that plants must have, nitrate nitrogen and calcium. Calcium nitrate is the best choice for plants in all soils and climates for top fertilization. We use it on all of our new plantings of muscadine vines. Calcium nitrate fertilizer increases growth and helps establish the framework of the vine quicker.

Advantages:
Increases yield and quality
Builds up resistance to disease and pests
Extends the storage life of fruits
Rapidly absorbs calcium and nitrate

For newly planted muscadine vines
2 weeks after applying fertilizer to vines – apply Calcium Nitrate
April 15, May 15, June 15 and July 15 – at a rate of 1/4 lb. per vine.
For mature vines
Apply Calcium Nitrate early to mid July at a rate of 1/4 lb. per vine.

Rate of 1 cup per 50’ row. Recommend ¼ lb. per plant.

Growers You Can Trust

I have ordered around 500 muscadine vines from Isons. The top 3 I have ordered are Darlene, Supreme & the Ison. They all 3 produced great. The Supreme was amazing in size and the Ison had a very large yield. Both made great wine & jelly. The Darlene had a great yield of quarter size to 50 cent size bronze grapes and a very sweet one. Had only 20?plants but the yield was great. My loss on all vines was so low it was unbelievable. Also we had a lot of silver dollar size of Supreme grapes

Healthy nursery stock, great customer service, and a wide selection of garden, orchard, and vineyard supplies. I recommend Ison’s to everybody wanting a little fruit in their lives.

We’ve bought muscadine vines from Ison’s Nursery & Vineyard for over 13 years now and have always received excellent service with a personal touch. Greg Ison has a vast knowledge of muscadine and is always ready to share his knowledge. Thanks Greg for all your help over the years, to include the articles you post on your blog. Very helpful!
