President's Message

Alfisti,

Now that we have moved past Alfesta and the Easter break, we can look at some of the significant events held over the past month. They include the Post Alfesta Tour to Canberra with member participation at Auto Italia. Last Sunday, we had a great Sunday Drive through the Dandenong Ranges across to Carlei Winery with wine tasting and a banquet lunch.

We must congratulate our volunteers assisting in Competition, Club Displays, Sunday Drives and social events. Members have commented on how rewarding our activities are.

Following the 2024 Annual General Meeting in March, we have moved on from the reporting and welcome a number of new committee members who are keen to contribute this year. This will be the first time in many years that we have had a full committee ready to work together.

I must take this opportunity to thank all committee members for their valued contribution to the club throughout 2023. For those who have retired, we thank you for your volunteerism.

As a reminder - with a new website and enhanced Membership program, feel free to log in and update your records. The Register captains will contact you in the next month or so to touch base to assist with event management over the remainder of the year.

To ensure that the Club is organised and well managed, we continue to seek assistance from members with skills applicable to the tasks. There are still several outstanding roles for co-opted members. One of these is to manage the Club Archive and our Historical documentation – 50+ years of it! If this a role in which you may be able to assist, please contact me.

If you would like to volunteer to help with planning a Sunday Drive, Club activity or help out at Club Competition events, please do not hesitate to contact me.
