Hi, welcome to Lake District Ballroom!
Dancing in Portinscale, Keswick, Cumbria.
SADLY as I am shortly moving to Harrogate to be near to my immediate family in Headingley Leeds, I am closing down my dancing teaching and social dancing activities here in Portinscale.
It has been a happy 20 years running social dances and latterly teaching with both the love of my life and dance partner Lori who died suddenly of a heart attack on 18th August 2018 at home and Valerie thereafter.
I have made many good friends and especially thank my supporters, pupils and also U3A in Cockermouth led ably by Greg and Gill Greenhalgh.
It is au revoir rather than goodbye as I will visit and also hope to see you at dancing events both in the Cairn at Harrogate, elsewhere on the dancing circuit and of course at the Blackpool Tower.
As you know lakedistrictballroom has been a not for profit association and I am happy to report that we have raised £13,200 for charities over the 10 years from 2010 when we set up the association. Prior to that we supported Portinscale village hall with all proceeds from the social dances. So give yourselves a hugh pat on the back and thank you once again
