Q:
Does Camelback lodge offer shuttle to here?
A:
I don't think they pick up from Camelback but they are a couple minutes away from the resort. Our family comes here all the time and they have picked us up from the Great Wolf, Kalahari, and Pocono Manor. But I'm sure you can call and make… more

Food is delicious and the service is always great, but their prices are just too expensive. The interior is beautifully arranged, but there are 2nd story windows in the sushi dining area with what looks like trash behind them. Was surprised to see that today since every other time I've been there it's been impeccable.
Overall I'd recommend for special occasions due to the pricy menu. If money is no object then dine away anytime.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 17, 2024
3.5 stars. Filet mignon hibachi was okay. Nothing mind-blowing about the steak I got. The show provided by the chef was pretty fun to watch though.
Come here for a fun hibachi experience and carry low expectations for the food, and you'll be left satisfied with this restaurant.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dylan B.Danville, PA4610Feb 19, 2024
Had the sashimi sampler. Fish was good and fresh, but it was way overpriced. Fifty bucks it cost and soup and salad not included. A small salad was ten bucks.
Service was friendly and fast.
Ambiance was extremely noisy with cheesy pop music blaring at full volume. There was an atmosphere of chaos and overcrowding.
Overall it is a poor value and not a relaxing place to sit down for a nice meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3911871404Feb 6, 2024
We were a large party of 16 people trying to find someplace to accommodate us after we finished a long day of skiing. We went through a few options and ended up at Desaki.
Immediately you could tell the ambiance is a bit more upscale than most of the surrounding restaurants. Fortunately for us they had a large seating area and we all fit nicely (7 kids, 9 adults) and Heather took us right to the area and settled in on our drink orders relatively fast.
The hibachi show was pretty nice. I wasn't expecting much based on location, but it had a few things I hadn't seen done before. I did feel that the show itself was maybe shorter than I expected, but our chef's personality made it all worth the while. His assistant was mild mannered and very helpful as well.
I had the filet mignon and the fried rice, as well as the onion soup, and I got myself a 1800 Silver mule. Everything I tried was spectacular, but the meat itself was very tender. Good selection on the staff's end.
It's a bit pricey but the service more than made up for it. Would definitely return if we end up back in Pokonos for skiing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

This place is a rip off. It is completely over priced. They automatically a 20% gratuity for the chefs but you still have to tip your server on top of that! You also cannot order a plate of hibachi food if you sit in the sushi section. Also, they have conservative bs hanging all over the place.
The food was good- and our server was sweet- but I'd rather go to NYC for those prices.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 29, 2023
The place was amazing! Beautiful building beautiful restaurant and kind workers. The hibachi guys helping our large party of 11 were amazing and funny! The food was delicious and the tea was soooo good. It's a huge place and I happy our friends in PA knew where to take us picky New Yorkers! Thank you all for an awesome experience and amazing food!

Nothing special about the regular rolls, the rice for the regular rolls were too sticky. The special roll was better, we got the Alaskan rolls and it was packed with flavor. There is automatically a 20% service fee; which makes sense the Briana, server was friendly and always checking in with us. Very warm and festive ambiance near the end of December. We could hear cheers from the Hibachi section. Overall, ok, for the atmosphere and food, but it's too pricey for the quality of food.

This is a restaurant we go to when we're out in the area. But we have also started hating it more and more after every visit. The hibachi tables are stuffed with cramped seating, the prices are overpriced and it's always felt like go in and get out.. rushed out before you can finished eating and the guys come out with-the take-away containers not even give a few minutes to finished a $50 course you would expect more time to enjoy the time or options to even order a dessert. They're over employees and theirs isn't any thing authentic for a $300 meal for 4 ( 2 adults, 2 kids) with a fixed 20% tip included. Only to help find their new construction next door. Beware of the lacking poor services this management has got you trapped in.

We're sorry to hear that you were displeased with your last visit! We typically ask about take out containers shortly after the chefs leave as some guests eat quicker than others. This is in no way to rush anyone out however. We also do not serve dessert, which is why you would not have been offered that. With most of our cooking happening out at the grill tops, our kitchen is very small due to the fact that it is only handling appetizers and sides in the back. There is simply no room for a dessert station back there which is why we implore our guests to visit one of our partners for dessert such as Pocono Dessert Company, Pocono Cheesecake Factory, Gables Ice Cream, or Eats 'N Sweets down the road. If you have any other concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at publicrelations@desakirestaurant.com to discuss your visit further. Have a great day!

The owner n manager acted like we was a problem, when we complained about ROTTEN chicken.. if I am paying 70-75 dollars a plate I will complain. If it's a problem then don't have a business.. biting into the chicken the way it was, instantly made me sick to my stomach, then I asked my husband try his, and it was the same, then my daughter tried hers, and the same. Utterly disgusting.. they need to be more cautious with the food, check temperatures instead of RUSHING FOOD OUT.. trying to make a quick dollar can cost you a serious issue if someone gets ill..
going here for years with my family.. this will be last time.. jacking up the prices because of him building a luxury hotel.
Annoyed n angry customer here. Won't take my money no moreHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 1110634Feb 3, 2024
The menu was pricey but I felt worth it for the experience! We were a party of 10 and got right into a hibachi table at 6pm on a Saturday night. Our kids (7, 5 and 3) as well as the big kids (adults) loved it. We waited a bit for the food to come out once we ordered - but first got soup and then edamame as included appetizers. The salmon was great was very ginger-heavy (which I enjoyed!) and the teriyaki chicken excellent. We had lots of leftovers for the next day that reheated well. Added bonus were the dance party, balloon artist and face painting. It was a memorable all-around night!
