Did you just discover that the only pair of pantyhose in your house that doesn't have a tear in them is the dirty pair? Do you only have half an hour before you must be at that special function? Fear not—the nylon material of your pantyhose is able to dried quickly and does not require ironing.

Using a Dry Towel

Use a dry bath towel for best results. The thicker the towel is, the more effective this method will be. If you do not have a thick towel, repeat the method using two separate towels.^{[1]

Roll the towel up and let your pantyhose become rolled inside. Avoid twisting or wringing the rolled towel. Apply some pressure onto the towel. The towel will absorb most of the moisture, and it should only take minutes to air dry the pantyhose afterward.

Hang the pantyhose to let them air dry. Hang them on a clothesline or towel rack. If no other options are available, pull the shower curtain aside and use the shower rod to hang them. Carefully, hold the pantyhose out of your window so that the legs of them are hanging out. Be sure to maintain a tight grip on them so that you do not lose them while the car is in motion. Be sure to do this in a private place, such as a parking lot, where no other cars are passing by.
Do not exceed the posted speed limit, but drive quickly so that the wind dries your pantyhose. Hopefully, the sun will be out and can help in this drying process as well.
Unroll the window, pull on your hosiery while in the car, and check that all is in order. Then, you should be ready to make your grand entrance.
