Giraffe Inn and Safari is a dream come true for Tiffany & Tony Dierolf. They had an opportunity to develop the original hunting lodge that was there (on the east side of Rt 98) and decided to bring Giraffes to New Boston! While all this was taking place it became pretty obvious that the giraffes needed company.

One thing led to another and now they are getting ready to open June 1, 2024 with lots of different animals and options!! A full animal safari, an overnight stay with the giraffes in beautiful lakefront suites that allow you to feed the giraffes from your room, Bed & Breakfast rooms in the main lodge, a petting zoo and chuck wagon meals made fresh daily for lunch and dinners.

This amazing and unique investment in our New Boston area is sure to bring additional revenue to various local businesses in our area. Great location for Corporate events, birthday parties, church camps, youth groups and educational field trips to just name a few.

Maria’s Tex-Mex is a family owned and operated restaurant that opened on March 24, 2014, in New Boston, TX. Maria’s employs approximately 23 people including Maria, her husband Israel, and her brother.

As one of only 2 restaurants in New Boston that are open on a Monday, Maria’s is a town favorite. Many local businesses enjoy lunch in one of the 3 rooms that is provided along with the main dining area. And as one of those businesses that go on an hour lunch break, I can say that they get you in and out because they understand that everyone’s time is important. Most of the employees know your face as soon as you walk in. It speaks volumes when you open the door and Maria asks if it’s all of you eating today and she takes you straight back to your regular room to be seated.
