Two charged in assault of Waynesburg teenager

State police arrested two people in connection with the assault of a Waynesburg teenager in the Walmart parking lot in Franklin Township. Chase Frameli, 19, of Clarksville, and Ian Bogumit, 18, of Mather, each face a felony charge of aggravated assault. According to state police, the incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Monday in the Walmart lot at 405 Murtha Drive. Police interviewed several witnesses and obtained a cellphone video capturing the assault. While wearing a black ski mask, Frameli is accused of punching the 16-year-old and putting him in a chokehold for about 45 seconds.
