Blake Griffin to miss exhibition with cut

Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin has been forced to pull out of the Sunday charity exhibition game in Oklahoma City co-headlined by Kevin Durant because of a cut on his right foot.

Griffin's agent, Sam Goldfeder, said Wednesday that Griffin was hurt while swimming in the ocean but that it's a minor injury and he should be back on the court soon.

The injury will prevent Griffin from playing in the game Sunday night at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, which holds roughly 14,000 for basketball games.

Miami Heat teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade and New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul are among the other big names expected to play in a game Durant has vowed for weeks to stage in Oklahoma City if the NBA season didn't start on time.

Since the lockout began July 1, Durant has been part of marquee pickup and charity games in Los Angeles, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Miami. After the game earlier this month at Florida International University, James said to Durant via Twitter: "Thanks for coming through homie. Looking forward to the one in OKC."

Organizers of the US Fleet Tracking Basketball Invitational announced several additions to the Sunday night game expected to also include All-Stars Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire and Russell Westbrook.

Oklahoma City's Kendrick Perkins and James Harden, Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge, Atlanta's Jamal Crawford and Damien Wilkins, Minnesota's Michael Beasley and Houston's Jonny Flynn have committed to play.
