The Upstairs Salon

I got my haircut yesterday here by Jose and I am so impressed. They do an amazing job. I will never go to anyone else and I am so thankful because I have curly hair and I've always had people mess it up but he knew what he was doing I would go back and I was wearing him a five star +10. My daughters wedding is next week and Jose got my hair exactly what I wanted. I feel excited and ready to look like the mother of a bride should look. Thank you Jose! I will definitely be back!

I scheduled an appointment to get my hair curled for a wedding I was going to attend on a Friday. I yelped for hair salons across from my hotel and I saw that the Upstairs Salon was right across the street from where I was staying.

I went into the salon a little bit before 1pm and my appointment was scheduled with Michael. I told him that all I wanted was simple curls and that I had a wedding to attend at 4pm that same day. He was very accommodating and very friendly. I actually was able to help assist him with my full head of hair!

They way he curled my hair was definitely a first for me. Every time he curled a piece of my hair he would then clip the curl to my head so the curl wouldn't drop yet because my hair is very heavy and thick. After all the curling was done I looked like I had a up do but I still wasn't done. He sprayed my hair and had me sit for 10 minutes under the dryer and then back we were to remove the clips.

Once the clips were removed I had a head full of bouncy curls! I was excited and thrilled to see how it turned out and I was extremely happy. The staff was great and very kind. Michael was great and very charming and witty. I walked out a very happy, bouncy girl!!! Thx sooo much Michael!!!

This was my first visit to the Upstairs Salon and I will be back! The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. Brian colored, cut, and styled my hair and I absolutely love it!! I was debating on dyeing my hair jet black and he took the time to talk to me about pros and cons of this choice and suggested a more fun, fresh, and festive look for the holidays and I am so happy I listened to him! All the clients that were in getting services while I was seemed happy and comfortable with the staff. Prices are very reasonable as well. And to top it all off, Brian called me a couple of days after my appointment to check in and make sure I loved my hair, which I told him of course!! I'm so happy to say I have found my new salon and Brian has my trust to take care of my hair! Thank you Upstairs Salon!!

I'm really happy to have found this salon. I've gotten my hair cut here twice so far - once with David and once with Tam, both were very good. The salon owner is owner is very pleasant and helpful.

Between calling and sitting in the chair there was a about a 5 minute gap. I live close by, so they hooked me up. But the customer service once I got in was top notch. Jose squeezed me in between some other appointments, and did a great job. I will for sure recommend this shop to people. And will tell them to ask for Jose

I went to Upstairs Salon with a bad dye job, and thought it was unfixable. Tawnie fixed my hair, and did a fabulous job! This place is great, they are not only very professional, place was really clean, people were very nice, and I received excellent service for a great price. I highly recommend this place to all women that would like to feel pampered and get away from the stresses of life. Thank you again! Rose Newsom

Yvonne is the best of the best! My mom and I have been going to her since 2000 and we'll follow her wherever she goes! She always does such a good job and is so careful that she doesn't ever hurt you like some other nail salons.

I always get acrylics with gel polish and they last three sometimes up to four weeks looking totally perfect! Yvonne uses the best products and always keeps everything very clean which I'm sure has to do with how long they stay looking great.

If you see Yvonne I promise you won't be disappointed! She is so sweet and fun to talk to AND she never fails to give you perfect nails! I highly recommend coming in and giving her and The Upstairs Salon a shot!

Jose is the greatest! He has been weaving and styling my hair since the mid 80's. My entire family has their hair done by Jose, daughter, son and hubby! He is so kind and has the biggest heart! He has a great sense of humor too! I moved out of state for a couple of years and when I returned he had to fix the bad weaving jobs I endured! No one better to go to than Jose!

Jose is fantastic and has been cutting hair for my family for years!
I love that he has no problem doing styles for my mom and aunt, but works miracles in the cuteness department for myself. He's arguably the nicest person on the planet and is extremely talented with a pair of scissors.

Also, ask the guy about his homemade beef jerky...

This review is for Yvonne. I mentioned the groupon deal last wednesday and they squeezed me in that day because of a cancallation. I told her that i wanted a gellish french manicure. I needed them to look really nice because I told her I might be getting engaged that friday! She told me that she would give me lucky nails haha so that it would happen...and guess what! it DID! I can't really attribute my engagement to her job well done, but I can say that they looked beautiful when my now fiance slipped that gorgeous ring on my finger. They looked great in the pictures we had taken saturday and I was getting a bunch of compliments on how nice my nails were when I was showing off my new bling! Thanks Yvonne!
