Did you know that approximately 85% of our emergency response relates to medical or trauma related emergencies?

With 13 weeks of fire training behind them, our Camp 57 recruits spent this week with our Medical Division going over our medical protocols, documentation procedures, and policies specific to our medical response. They also got some hands on instruction to ensure their EMS knowledge aligns with our expectations.

18 of the 26 recruits already have their NREMT medical certification as either a Basic EMT, Advanced EMT, or Paramedic, and will begin working in the field next week. The remaining 8 will continue in the classroom to earn their EMT certification.

Graduation will be this Wednesday, May 15 at 6:00 PM at the JATC building, 12723 S Park Ave in Riverton. You can view a livestream on YouTube at this link:
