60 Fun Halloween Party Ideas That Are Wickedly Creative

To make: Purchase one large, one medium, and one small pumpkin (any color combo works) that stack nicely. Remove the stems from the large and medium pumpkin. Lightly sketch a vine pattern on a pumpkin with a pencil. Use a linoleum carving tool to etch out the pattern. Once complete attach red berries or beads with hot glue.

This simple craft, which is perfect for decorating your fall table or front porch, only takes three supplies and just a few minutes to make. If you can’t find bittersweet vine, try using grapevine and attaching berries with hot glue.

To make: Wrap white pumpkins with bittersweet vine, holding it in place with t-pins and hot glue.

Craft your own personal pumpkin patch using old quilts and fabric scraps. To make, start with a round piece of fabric and a ball of batting (about the size you want your finished pumpkin to be). Gather the fabric up around the batting and hot glue it together in the center. Collect dried stems, or purchase faux stems, and attach with hot glue for a realistic touch. Line the middle of a long farmhouse table with a runner, then pile on your creations and other seasonal greenery. These would be an adorable accent to a mantel or buffet as well.

To make: Gather small and medium sized leaves, acorn caps, grasses, and pinecones from the yard. Glue small leaves on the front of a small oblong pumpkin, overlapping them slightly, to create feathers. Glue four larger leaves on either side, overlapping them, to create wings. Attach a piece of thin leather string with hot glue to a small acorn squash to create the outline of the face. Pull apart a pinecone and use the individual scales to create the nose, attaching them with hot glue. Attach acorn caps to create eyes and grass to create ears and whiskers.

Of course, you'll need a devilishly good dessert to top off your spooky extravaganza. These pudding cups will delight your littlest guests.

Place a 6 1/2-inch handle on the opposite side; "screw" in place. Cover exposed edges of the foam core with silver duct tape, folding any excess to the back. Make two more doors. Adhere to house door with heavy- duty self-adhesive Velcro. Cut five coffin shapes from black and gray kraft paper. Paint letters on gray coffins with red acrylic paint to spell "morgue" and attach to black coffins with double-sided tape. Hang a plastic chain above the door and attach coffin cutouts with hot-glue. Add plastic pedestal planter painted Titanium Silver by Rust-Oleum and "Swiss Cross" doormat.
