HOME

We have organized Club Rides in Milwaukee and the surrounding counties every weekend between April and October with a few others thrown in outside our regular season. Each ride typically has a shorter and a longer route, to accommodate all levels of biking experience. We also hold rides on Tuesday mornings from May through October. Non-members are encouraged to join us and see what the BVBC is all about!

Our weekend and Tuesday club rides are taking place as scheduled. Please see our Ride Schedule under the BVBC RIDES tab. We are allowing guests to join us and check us out on one club ride. If a guest likes what they see and would like to ride with us again, we would be very happy to welcome you, however, in accordance with our insurance rules and regulations, you must first become a club member. It’s easy to join, just click our Membership tab.

Usage of e-bikes:

Class 1, 2, and 3 electric bicycles (e-bikes), as defined by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, are permitted on Club rides. It is the sole responsibility of anyone riding an e-bike to be familiar with and in compliance with all state and local rules, regulations, restrictions, and laws, as they relate to the permissible use of e-bikes, under the jurisdiction of any municipality, village, town, city, county, state, etc. where they are ridden.

For the purposes of this communication, the definition of an electric bicycle is consistent with the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) definition as follows:

  • Class 1 electric bicycle shall mean an electric bicycle equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling, and that ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour.
  • Class 2 electric bicycle shall mean an electric bicycle equipped with a motor that may be used exclusively to propel the bicycle and that is not capable of providing assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour.
  • Class 3 electric bicycle shall mean an electric bicycle equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling, and that ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 28 miles per hour.
