Nick & Anne were married at the Huntington Beach Public Library last month, and it was pretty much one of my favorite weddings…ever. The library offers such a dynamic, graphic, and colorful backdrop with amazing natural light inside and out. For this self-proclaimed “nerdy” couple, it was an ideal canvass for their wedding. I was also truly honored to be joined on this day by the always amazing Jade & Candace, who captured beautiful moments for the happy couple, and added to the joy of the day by simply being their wonderful selves – LOVE you ladies! Congratulations to Nick & Anne who began their adventure together amongst some of the greatest love stories ever written ; ) Cheers to that & ENJOY a few faves friends!

Rebecca & Chris : The Sunset Restaurant, Malibu, CA

Rebecca and Chris were married at The Sunset in Malibu and I think you’ll see from the images below, this is one gorgeous couple, and an incredible place to be married! The Sunset is amazing, so brides, think about heading to Malibu for your nuptials. You can’t ask for a better backdrop, and their wedding & events team is fantastic! R & C’s fabulous wedding was in the hands of the super stylish & very talented Lauren of Lauren Stewart Designs + Events. A-Mazing! The ultra creative and always enchanting Bryan McLain of Several GUYS was invited to film the soiree! Guitarist Tom Farrell, of Duo del Sol, is absolutely incredible and set the romantic & free-spirited ambiance for their ceremony and beyond. A dream team indeed : ) Cheers to two of my faves, Rebecca & Chris, who recently welcomed their first baby boy. Love them! Love their families & friends! A great time was had by all! Enjoy!

Creative Spotlight : F.J. Lennon

It’s been a few years now, but back in 2010, I had the great honor of photographing novelist and screenwriter F.J. Lennon. He has penned Soul Trapper and Devil’s Gate, the first two novels in a trilogy that centers on ghost hunter, Kane Pryce. Pretty incredible stuff! We shot at two historic, and perhaps haunted, old Hollywood locations, which served as the backdrop for some great publicity photos. I am very excited about F.J.’s books and look forward to the third book in his series. He has a wonderful family and an amazing creative voice, so if you love the paranormal, you must check out his work. Congratulations to F.J. Lennon! Enjoy the reads everyone!

Featured : March Issue of Shutterbug Magazine

Recently, I was interviewed by the fabulous Maria Piscopo for her article in the March issue of Shutterbug Magazine, which discusses the current business trends of wedding photography. As a bonus, one of my photos is featured on the cover. Super Excited!! The magazine is on newsstands now, so be sure to pick up a copy. Angela & Angel at Terranea Resort

Angela and Angel were married at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes back in 2012 on a gorgeous day (which offered a little rain for good luck). This duo is one of my faves, and I’m so happy to say that I have been able to celebrate with them thru their pregnancy, and as they recently welcomed their first born Son. That’s the coolest part of what I do… seeing people evolve into their lives and grow their love. That’s a gift folks! Michelle & Ryan’s Queen Mary Wedding

Michelle & Ryan were married aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Love these two! Such a FUN couple who have amazing families and friends! I was honored to shoot Michelle’s sisters’ wedding a few years prior, so it was really special to see them all again! It’s been over a year since their beautiful wedding day, and today I’m feeling nostalgic for an era gone by. Feels like the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of a fabulous weekend! Enjoy!

The Shrum Family

I had the honor of creating the Shrum family holiday portraits a little over a year ago, and now that our littlest girls are finally in preschool, I figure it’s time to share. I love looking back at past portrait sessions and being inspired by a free-spirited afternoon in the late-Summer magic light! Incidentally, how adorable are their girls???!!! Love them!
