Our mission is to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research. The AAUW has a nationwide network of more than 100,000 members, 1,300 branches, and 500 college and university partners. Through its network, AAUW opens doors for women and girls and influences public debate on critical social issues such as education, civil rights, and workplace equity.

The American Association of University Women – California is one of the state’s most active and diverse organizations for women with nearly 14,000 members in more than 150 branches, plus 6,000 members-at-large. We have an annual state convention, regional training events, and receive frequent and timely updates on pertinent legislative activities.
