Konami’s gamescom press conference wrapped up and we got some brand new info on Castlevania Lords of Shadow. For starters, Europe will be getting the game on October 7th. Then attendees were shown the final box art for the game (which you can see below) both for the standard edition and the limited as well. They also detailed what’s going to be included for those that go the extra mile: God mask replica, soundtrack, artbook, etc. Then we got information on the actual game itself, the game will be 50 stages long and will take the average player roughly 20 hours to get through. Level based Castlevania confirmed! We’re also going to be getting DLC to flesh out the game’s ending shortly after the game’s release via 2 DLC packs. Cliffhanger ending confirmed! Gamescom: New info on Castlevania Lords of Shadow
Posted in Uncategorized on August 18, 2010 by jbocBit.Trip Fate announced
Posted in Uncategorized on August 18, 2010 by jbocAs vague as an announcement could be, Nintendo, in their recent press release listing their Q4 line-up, announced Bit.Trip Fate for a Fall release. The fifth game in the amazing Bit.Trip series by Gaijin games. I’ve only played Beat and Runner and man did I have a good time playing those two games. Especially the latter, Bit.Trip Runner is one of my favorite games this year and is worthy of much praise. If Gaijin could continue the magic with Fate then I think we have ourselves an obvious win on our hands. But what gameplay style will it take on to compliment it’s music this time? The title suggests a sense of finality for Commander Video, but who knows. I also read somewhere about a potential compatibility with the Wii Zapper? Should be interesting, more info as it comes and expect a review of Bit.Trip Runner soon!
Gamescom: Infamous 2 trailer

I’ve only played the demo to this game and I had a hell of a good time. I’m going to be picking up the full game soon to prep me for this sequel. Enjoy the trailer! More info as it comes.
Portal 2 release date
Posted in Uncategorized on August 18, 2010 by jbocAnother game I still have yet to clear is Portal. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the game so I decided to trial it on XBLA. It was fun, but it got me frustrated especially towards the end of the trial. Then, thanks to steam supporting Macs, I downloaded a free copy on my macbook. And what a difference it made. I played through a good chunk of it , but then for some reason I just let it be and I haven’t returned to it since. That’s going to change though, as the sequel comes closer to launching on February 9.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: new characters
Posted in Uncategorized on August 18, 2010 by jbocEnter Viewtiful Joe and Dormammu. The latest fighters to be added to the much anticipated Marvel cs. Capcom 3. I’m not really surprised by the viewtiful joe announcement seeing as how he was much demanded and I remember seeing some of his game props in one of the early screens for this game. Now Marvel’s Dormammu I don’t really know anything about, but a quick wiki search informed me that he was or maybe still is Doctor Strange’s nemesis. Doctor Strange maybe confirmed? Who knows. More info as it comes.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn box-art

This game looks like it’ll have the charm Kirby is always known for along with a whole new level of fun seeing as how the whole world is made of string. Imagine the possibilities not just level-design wise but for abilities as well!

Gamescom: Resistance 3 finally officially announced + live action trailer
Posted in Uncategorized on August 17, 2010 by jbocRemember the above image? Yeah well finally Insomniac Games steps forth and officially confirms Resistance 3. I still haven’t played any of the titles released thus far in this series but you bet I will. I know the basic premise of the narrative, and that’s what has intrigued me to get into both main titles before this three-quel hits in 2011. Here’s the live-action trailer that as shown at the press conference where Insomniac announced the game:
