So for a 12th week “Boom Boom Pow” sits at the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. I think next week “I Gotta Feeling” at #2 will take over and BBP will begin its descent. Although it seems it will be a slow one at first.

Also on the chart Drake makes a debut at #3 with “Best I Ever Had” and also with his collaboration with Young Money on “Every Girl” in at #10. “Knock You Down,” “I Know You Want Me,” and “LoveGame” each slide one spot down to #4, 5, and 6 respectively. Sean Kingston moves up one spot to number 7 with “Fire Burning.” “Second Chance” is number 9 ” and “Birthday Sex” falls two spots to number 8.

So it seems Katy Perry is lending her vocals on a remix of 3OH!3’s second single “Starstrukk.” I don’t know if she’s singing a part of the song or if they created a whole new part for her, which is probably more likely. No matter what I’m excited to hear what this sounds like. I’ll post it as soon as it is released.

britney_spears_radarIt seems a year after “Radar” was supposed to be released as a single it is going for adds at radio. I’m confused as to why this is Britney’s next single since it was from her Blackout era, but I’m sure she had nothing to do with the deciscion. Nonetheless, I like the song, but we’ll see how it fairs with the rest of America. The music video is set to premiere sometime in the beginning of July and I’ll let you know the date when I find out. And yes, it is the same picture I used in the last post from last year…

The+Black+Eyed+Peas+-+Boom+Boom+Pow+[SINGLE+COVER]-1

I wish someone could tell me because it still sits at number one at Top 40 radio and it’s still holding on at #2 on iTunes. Damn this song, just let “I Gotta Feeling” take over since it clearly is already and just feels like a perfect summer song. And it’s not like I got a problem with the BEP unlike an other certain blogger, but it’s time to move on with new music. BBP, you’ve had your stay and overwelcomed it…Bye!

Because Keri Hilson is smashing on the radio right now. She currently holds the number one song in the country at radio. It’s great to see her finally break through of course with a little help from Kanye and Ne-Yo. Her album is selling well and “Knock You Down” is sitting pretty at number 7 on iTunes at this very moment. Congratulations Keri!

This is probably the third time I’ve said I’m coming back to blog again and I think this time I will stick to my promise. I’ve been delaying coming back to post because I feel as though my blog is a mess with all the tags and categories all scrambled it seems to me. I am a perfectionist when it comes to appearances and so it’s difficult, but I will just continue from this point on and hopefully the past posts will just become part of the past. Here’s to new music…now!

franzferdinand

So Franz Ferdinand is FINALLY back with a new album after a little more than 3 years. I can honestly say it was worth it though.

If you haven’t heard it yet go check it out for yourself.

Their first single is “Ulysses”
