MIS Society of PSBA-QC, New Look

Don't know the date when the office was repainted but the organization's headquarter is now painted in yellow and blue.

During our time, we are not allowed to change the color of our office that's why we maintained the natural color of our building.

MIS Soc's logo has also evolved into something more complicated unlike before where it is only simple and plain.

Well, like the quotation says: "In order to exists there must have a change"

MIS Society of PSBA-QC, the only computer organization

Let it be known that the MIS Society of PSBA-QC is the only computer organization in the campus. MIS SOC has contributed its expertise to the Student Council under the presidency of Jason Garcia when the org created its flash presentations projects.

It also helped the Graduating Class Office (GCO 2002) to have the very first Interactive Yearbook CD-ROM.

Not only in software, MIS Society of PSBA-QC also conducted seminars on how to assemble computers.

MIS Society Advisers 1998-2002

During my MIS Soc life, we have the following advisers:

1. BODEN ORPIADA

- A well known MIS Soc professor who is a bit terror. a bit? No longer connected to PSBA-QC as of 2006

2. MS. ORDONA

- I can't remember the first name but i think it was "FELY"? correct me if i'm wrong.
- She is tall, still single during my time,
- Understanding professor she is not elong to the "terror" group.

3. ROLLIE T. MAGSALIN

- A chubby but cute professor, kinda dark complexion but with good humor and a yuppy type professor. He has a friend who is also an MIS professor, a young lady graduated from St. Paul, my crush, she's pretty, i put a daisy flower in her desk (i just picked the flower in the corridor facing the accounting) without her knowing :)

4. "FEDERIZO"

- Again i forgot his full name, he told us his graduation story during the first day of our class. The story was sad and emotional.. we almost cry :(

MISSIVE- MIS Society's News Paper

MIS Soc has an official news paper called "MISSIVE". It was an idea of Mr. Michael Lagunay who has become the Editor-In-Chief of the said news paper. MISSIVE stands for "M-anagement I-nformation S-ystem S-ociety I-nformative V-iews and E-ntertainment"

The official news paper is composed of the following:

Editorial
What's up doc?
Mr. Mail Man
Q&A page
Comics trip

The lay-out artist who has also become the editor-in-chief right after Mr. Lagunay is Ariseo G. Bonifacio (me).

MIS Society of PSBA-QC History

I don't recall anymore the date when MIS Society was registered as one of the Academic organization in PSBA-QC.

Before, MIS Society members are only gathering under the tree located in the freedom square. That's around 1998. I joined the organization during my 1st year 2nd sem in my quest to have more friends.

I can still remember that Anna Lorein is the secretary, a guy named "Tan" is the president, "Tet" is the vice-president and Wency Lagumbay is the Student Council President from the AKADEME (who is now the councilor of Quezon City) ticket i think during those times.

Our first project is to have our very own office, and we have spotted the office of NON-ACA or NON-ACADEMIC located at the 4th floor, right wing (facing PSBA).

It is not easy for us to get that room immmediately because another organization is at stake. But with the help of the SC President Wency, we have successfully acquired the office and the NON-ACA grouped was transferred to the ground floor near the court.

That's why, MIS SOCIETY of PSBA-QC has been supporting the AKADEME ticket during elections because of the support that it has given to the organization, during its starting time.
