“Where are we going now?” she said.

I pointed up the stairs.

“Why?”

“Look Princess just pass me the Zeppelin Gun and get up the stairs.” I glanced upwards, the coats was still clear. But for how long?

“Still got a problem with strong women?”

“No. Just. Pass. Me. The. Gun.”

“Were you like this when you were a nurse? You should be more like Florence.”

I sighed.

“I was a mental health nurse, not a general nurse. Also many people have the wrong idea about Florence.”

As she, finally, passed me the Zeppelin Gun I began to talk.

“Vance?”

“What is it?”

“That body. Did you kill whoever it was?”

“You should know.” I said. I looked at her “Don’t you?”

“No. I couldn’t bear to watch?”, she shivered.

“Come on let’s get going, we have to keep running.” We ran.

She had to get the last word in.

“Vance,” she said “Show me some word clouds created from Daily Mail articles.”

“Vance, where are we going?”

We were running through a tunnel towards the light. Behind a body and my gun. I only knew we had to keep moving or they would be upon us.

“Princess.” I said “shut your face and keep running.”

“You have trouble relating to strong women don’t you?”

“This. Is. Not. The. Time!”

“A-Ha! Avoidance.” she crowed.

“You remind me of an article I read in The Independent recently.”

“Tell me more.” she said, overtaking me.

“You do not look good.”, she said.

I looked at the body at my feet, then the gun and then her. I thought for a moment and asked,

“Are you coming with me?”
“Yes. I think that would be for the best after everything.”
“What will I call you now then, after all this?”

She paused.

“Princess?”
“Princess it is. Time to go.”

Leaving everything behind we left.
