Mohammad Aghanori is an Assurance Manager at PwC’s Asset & Wealth Management practice in New York City, specializing in Alternative Investments. He has over eight years of professional experience in private and public accounting, six of which has been with PwC’s New York Metro Assurance Practice.

Mohammad provides assurance services to alternative investment clients with extensive experience in private equity, hedge funds, fund of funds, endowments and benefit plans. His expertise ranges from servicing start-up funds to serving large global asset managers. He has active working experience with ASC 820 Level 3 investments, public securities, derivatives including options, futures and forward contracts, swaps and swaptions.

Mohammad has significant auditing knowledge under the U.S. GAAS and accounting expertise under the U.S. GAAP. He frequently instructs accounting and auditing courses designed for associates and seniors associates at PwC.

Mohammad earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Queens College, City University of New York. He is a licensed CPA in the State of New York, and he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs.

As of April 2020, he is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Level II candidate pursuing a CAIA designation through The CAIA Association.
