About Barrington Lakes

Barrington Lakes is a residential subdivision located in Dubuque County, IA.  It is located just west of the City of Dubuque.  Barrington contains 144 single family homes that were constructed between the years of 1977 and 2008.  Lot sizes approximate 1 acre each, with a few being larger.  Barrington is in the Dubuque Community School District with students going to Hoover Elementary, Roosevelt Middle School, and Senior High School.  Residents of Barrington have exclusive access to the amenities located within Barrington, to include fishing in the 6-acre lake, swimming and beach activity, ability to reserve the pavilion free of charge, and use of the various courts (tennis, pickleball, sports, and sand volleyball).  Playground  equipment is also located in the common area.  Barrington Lakes Property Owners Association, Inc. is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors elected to 2-year terms by the Members (i.e., property owners) of the Association.  All Directors are Members of the Association.

Due to the Highway 20 construction project that removed all ingress and egress from the highway from Old Highway Rd. to Cottingham Rd. the former entrance to Barrington Lakes from Highway 20 has been closed.  Access to Barrington is now via Chesterfield Drive.  Access to Chesterfield Drive is at Exit #314 (Hwy 20 and Seippel Road/Hwy 52).  Chesterfield Drive is the south exit from the traffic circle located on the SE side of the bridge that crosses Hwy 20.
