Cincinnati's Golden Age

Discovering the Story: A City and Its Culture

Discovering the Story: A City and Its Culture celebrates Cincinnati's extraordinary artistic and cultural heritage. It is a collaborative effort on the part of the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County, several school systems in the region, the Greater Cincinnati Television Educational Foundation (CET), the Hamilton County Educational Service Center, and the University of Cincinnati College of Education's Evaluation Services Center.

This project's overarching goal is to use the Museum's and the Library's vast and rich collections as resources to create a series of curriculum-based lessons focused on the region's cultural heritage. Closely aligned with state and national standards, these lessons have been designed to meet Kindergarten through grade 12 educational objectives. Also included is a special lesson set on Cincinnati's role in the Underground Railroad.
