After experiencing a big expansion in its population in the early 1900’s, Genesee has maintained its population at around 800. The town has endured through changes and has remained a safe haven for commuters and a focal point of the surrounding agricultural area .

Genesee’s prosperity is clearly visible through its attractive farm buildings, businesses, pleasant homes and churches. The downtown area invites exploration with its arches, ornamental brickwork, attractive iron work , and period homes.
Genesee is proud of its Community Days, which includes breakfast, followed by a number of activities including the Genesee Trap Shoot, an Open House hosted by the Library, Musical entertainment, Cow Creek Run, the Kiddie parade, the main parade, Class reunions, and Fireworks.
