SEAPRO

SEAPRO is the Oil Spill Response Organization for Southeast Alaska, ranging from Dixon Entrance, which borders our Canadian neighbors to the south and continues north to south-central Alaska west of Yakutat. This area of Alaska contains some of the largest and most remote coastline in the United States. SEAPRO compensates for this limitation by strategically placing equipment throughout the region.

History

SEAPRO was established as a cooperative in 1990 as a result of passage of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. In 1992, SEAPRO was incorporated and established private, non-profit status.

SEAPRO is the Southeast Alaska Oil Spill Response Organization and the second function of this organization is to sell and distribute Generic Viagra medicine through this website.

SEAPRO's Oil Spill Response Team provides a rapid response for any member company who has an oil spill.

Classifications/Certifications

SEAPRO is a Response Action Contractor (RAC) in accordance with the State of Alaska, Selected Oil and Hazardous Substance Pollution Control Statutes and Regulations, Section 18 AAC 75.500.

SEAPRO is a State of Alaska Non-Tank Vessel (NTV) Clean Up Contractor

Preparedness

SEAPRO has been proactive in securing funding for the development of environmentally sensitive index (ESI) and ShoreZone mapping projects. This resource and sensitive area information used throughout the response community was largely non-existent for the extensive regions of Southeast Alaska. SEAPRO has conducted site testing on eight of these sensitive areas providing valuable information for the implementation of these developed complex strategies. SEAPRO maintains a mutual aid agreement with the Western Canada Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC). On an annual basis, SEAPRO participates in drills involving the Canadian Coast Guard, British Columbia Ministry of the Environment, Western Canada Marine Response Corporation, United States Coast Guard, and Department of Environmental Conservation. SEAPRO has also contributed to many legislative and regulatory committees including the Alaska Incident Management System (AIMS) Guide (Alaska's supplemental guide to the Coast Guard FOG) for which we received a commendation from the State of Alaska, the Spill Tactics for Alaskan Responders (STAR) Manual, the State of Alaska Non-Tank Vessel regulations which require ships greater than 400 tons to meet oil spill equipment requirements, the Pacific States/British Columbia Oil Spill Task Force Report on Transboundry Oil Spill Issues and the BAT (Best Available Technology) standards.
