Tribble & Stephens was founded in 1968 as a partnership between James Stephens and Jay Tribble who shared a vision that a general building contractor could operate successfully by negotiating construction services. Representatives of the Owner, Architect, and Contractor would compose a "partnership" who would work together to produce an optimal project considering the priorities of design, budget, quality, schedule and safety. This delivery system and partnership attitude has prevailed throughout our history as the cornerstone of our success.
Today, Tribble & Stephens is owned and operated by Van Martin, who purchased the company in 2008. Van has taken the company to new heights, while maintaining the original vision of the founding partners.

We believe that a project is not well-built unless it is built safely, and that the desire to complete a job on time and on budget, never takes priority over regard for the individual safety of our employees, or that of our subcontractors. Tribble & Stephens recognizes that an exceptional safety program depends upon the active participation of all employees. Our goal, is always Zero accidents.
- All our Project Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents are OSHA 30 hour certified. Tribble & Stephens' comprehensive Safety Program includes management's commitment, individual responsibilities, orientation, jobsite and classroom training, weekly jobsite safety inspections, monthly third-party safety consultant inspections, emergency response procedures, substance abuse testing, hazard communication, fall protection, electrical hazards, fire hazards and steel erection. We also address subcontractors and their part in overall jobsite safety.
- Our safety program is fully integrated into Procore, allowing instant access across each project team. The field team has access to all the safety forms they might need as they are walking a jobsite. The entire team, including the subcontractors, are connected through Procore to ensure that our projects are managed effectively.
- Tribble & Stephens recognizes that jobsite safety poses a unique challenge to management and employees alike with its constantly changing conditions; it is a work environment that is ever changing with its hazards. We believe that Tribble and Stephens' culture is the key to everyone returning home safely every day.

- iSqFt® application gives Tribble & Stephens the ability to distribute project plans, specs, addenda and other documents to subcontractors and suppliers securely and efficiently.
- Assemble® a web based platform for BIM management allows our estimating team access to BIM data to improve accuracy, reduce errors, and gain better insight into the project design and changes.
- Procore® a cloud-based construction management software used for Owner/Architect/Contractor collaboration. Procore's key features include document management, email tracking, submittals, RFIs, Reporting, Daily Logs, Scheduling, Punch Lists, Contract/Change Management, and much more.
- Timberline® Construction Gold accounting software used to control the financial aspects of each project. This construction specific SQL database software provides real-time access to job cost and budget information.

This 276,000 sf structure was a collaboration with FH + HP. The facility includes a 551-seat auditorium, two gymnasiums, natatorium, kitchen and cafeteria, classrooms, science labs, open spaces, a track and football and soccer fields, on a 33-acre campus.
