STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Congrats to Hunter Goudeau on receiving the Dale Lacky Scholarship at the CIF-SJS hosted breakfast. Each year this award recognizes the top male and female student-athletes within the Section. In addition, Hunter was one of 2 students that was asked to read their essay during the event. WE are so very proud of Hunter's accomplishments, both in sports and in his academics, as well as being a positive role model and representative of Central Catholic.

MARKETING TEAM 2024/25

WE are extremely excited to share with you the 2024-2025 Marketing Team Members! They will work to promote the school in a positive way and help to make sure everyone is knowledgeable about all the important things happening on campus.

WE GO TOGETHER - Spring Dance Show

Congratulations to our Fine Arts Department Chair, Mrs. Swilley, the Advanced Dance Team, and all of our talented Central Catholic dancers on an incredible Spring 2024 Show - WE GO TOGETHER! This show featured so many amazing routines by student choreographers, competition numbers by our Advanced Dance Team, and guest performances by Central Valley High School’s Impulse Dance Team, led by CCHS alum, Megan Hulst!

Thank you to everyone who supported our dancers and dance program this year, including Event Pros. Productions, parent volunteers, and our Central Catholic faculty and staff! WE couldn't have done this without you.

From Mrs. Swilley: "WE Go Together" was such a testament to the amazing talent that our students have. WE had a full house both nights and I know it's something our dance students look forward to each year.

ATHLETICS NEWS

The 2024/25 school year is right around the corner. Spirit packs are being ordered, schedules are being made and practices are being announced.

Athletic Packet
Athletic Packets are required before any student athletes can start summer practices. The Athletic Packet is a Google Form so there is not a hard copy to turn in.

Sports Information Logs
Make sure to complete the information logs for the sports you may want to play in the 2024/25 school year. Each blue box is a one-page Google Form that will help us with planning while also ensuring that you don't miss any information sent out by the coach.

Summer Practice Schedule
The summer practice schedule and information page will be posted on Monday, May 20th. It will also be emailed out to all current and registered families.


Baseball
Baseball is back in the Section Championship Game. The boys beat Oakdale twice last week to advance to the finals. We will be playing at Islanders Park in Lathrop on Thursday night. WE will be taking on Oakmont High School. 
 
Softball
Softball will be hosting Ripon High School on Tuesday at 4:00PM. This is a semi-final matchup with the winner moving on to the Section Championship Game. That game would be on Saturday in Elk Grove meaning, Mya, Emori, and Mo will have an extremely eventful graduation day. 
 
Track and Field 
Mana and Zach both competed in the CIF Masters Track Meet this weekend. Mana finished 12th overall which is impressive when you consider he has only done the sport for about 2 months. Zach fought off an illness to finish 2nd in the 400 meter Race. His 2nd Place finish earned him a spot in the State Championships this Friday and Saturday. He will run in the trials on Friday night. If he finishes in the top 9, he will then run in the finals on Saturday, giving him an exciting and memorable graduation as well.
