Good (ish?) news for our Hudson! Bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasound were all unremarkable. He was calm and quiet during his initial exam which didn’t indicate signs of severe pain. Given that anything serious has been ruled out, it seems as though he may just be having pain in his back and was scared which caused the gut wrenching screams!! He will be on pain meds for a few days and kept quiet and from jumping up and down from the couch to give his back a rest.
He had a GREAT dinner, took all his meds like a champ, and is resting comfortably!!!

Poor guy. Several years ago, of my older Chi’s let out that gut wrenching screaming one day after jumping off the couch. After a normal X-ray, the vet it was most likely a bad sprain in the upper back. Banning him from the couch for awhile was hard!
