Welcome

to this website.  Its purpose is to help us communicate in the course(s) for which I am your instructor this semester. I hope it also helps us work together to improve the courses for future students. In September 2004, at the suggestion of students, I set up my first wed site to communicate with students. I invite your suggestions for improving this web site.

This is not an official web site of Moraine Park Technical College.  Click on MPTC to go to Moraine Park's  web site.  Click on Academic Calendar (pdf file) to see the current MPTC calendar for day students.

Our Mission

as students and instructor is to work together to help each other learn.  Instructors help students learn concepts and achieve competencies. Students help instructors learn ways to improve courses and become better instructors.

Computer Network Specialist

courses in Moraine Park Technical College's Associate degree program are designed to help  learners gain both theoretical knowledge and real world hands-on skills. The required courses cover the range from basic computer and networking knowledge up to and including designing computer networks and combining different computer networks together.  In between are courses dealing with specific computer network operating systems, network security, and network installation.  The courses that are the subject of this website for this semester cover general computer network concepts and theory, installation and support of Microsoft workstations, network cabling with its applicable electrical theory, and network design.
