The ballroom is open and all dances and lessons are happening as usual, but it might be a few days before the schedule reflects these changes. Built For Dancing
Lake Robbins Ballroom was constructed by Mr. Riley Robbins beginning in 1929 next to a man made lake to the southwest of Woodward, Iowa. Since its opening night, it has been the venue for countless dances, concerts, and weddings.
Today, the ballroom continues to host bands from around the Midwest for live music and dancing on Saturday and Sunday nights. Classic dances like jitterbug swing, foxtrot, waltz, tango, polka, and more are part of an evening lineup. Before almost every dance, an hour-long lesson is offered, which provides dancers of any skill level with an opportunity to learn and improve. Lake Robbins is also an acclaimed venue for wedding receptions and school events.
