The LOOA I Annual Board Meeting was held on November 6, 2023 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

*Prevent Oak Wilt: July 1st - January 31st is the best time to have your oaks properly pruned. Paint all cuts immediately as per the recommendation of the City of Austin*
*However, if pruning is necessary and is outside of these dates, it should only be performed by a certified Arborist to reduce risk of disease, which can spread to neighboring properties.*

~Member Pool Use for 2024 Season~

After reading the Pool Rules, go to the Legend Oaks I Portal to complete the Pool Waiver/Release and Code of Conduct. *Swim lessons are not allowed as they are a liability for the Legend Oaks I Homeowner's Association.*

In Addition to the Pool Rules:

Do not place pizza boxes in the trashcans as there is not enough room. No eating is allowed in the pool, utilize the picnic tables.
No barbeque grills, or grilling is allowed.
You may bring your own disinfectant to wipe down the tables & chairs both before and after use... as the Association cannot ensure a germ-free environment.
Enter and Swim at Your Own Risk as there are no lifeguards on duty.
Swim lessons are not allowed due to HOA liability. Emler Swim School, the YMCA, and the City of Austin all offer swim lessons.

Legend Oaks is a southwest Austin neighborhood located just 8-10 minutes from downtown. Much attention to detail was given to preserve the trees during the homebuilding stage; therefore, creating a beautiful and tranquil setting with many mature oak trees. Today, Legend Oaks I includes just over 350 homes, which creates a perfect sized community.

Recreation center amenities include a swimming pool, toddler pool & fountains, a large pool cabana, a shade-covered playscape with benches, & picnic tables in our park, as well as, a tennis court. The Latta Branch Greenbelt and Williamson Creek travel through the middle of the neighborhood... creating a peaceful little oasis in the city. Local dining, entertainment, & shopping include: Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Amy's Ice Creams, Austin Bouldering Project, Central Market, Chuy's, Costco, Healthy Pet, H.E.B., Hyde Park Bar & Grill, Jack Allen's Kitchen, Kerbey Lane, Lil Doddy Burgers & Beer, Pluckers, Taco Deli, Tiff's Treats, Whole Earth Provision Co., Whole Foods, Via 313, and many more shops at the Shops at Arbor Trails & Escarpment Village.

Legend Oaks is in Austin ISD. Exemplary schools include Mills Elementary, Patton Elementary, Gorzycki, & Small Middle School. High schools include Austin High & Bowie. Magnet schools include the nearby top-rated Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders (middle & high school), Lively Middle School, Kealing Middle School, & LASA, Liberal Arts & Science Academy. The University of Texas less than 15 minutes away.

The 2023 Annual General Membership Meeting of the Legend Oaks I Owners Association was held on November 6, 2023 from 6pm-7pm at the pool at 6201 Oliver Loving Trail.

Facilities

The social hub of Legend Oaks is the Recreation Center, which includes the pool & clubhouse, playscape, and tennis court. The playscape was replaced in October of 2007 and has been a busy place for families since its completion. The canopy was a welcome addition as children are able to play all day long in the shade.

The swimming pool is the neighborhood's favorite summertime facility, it was resurfaced in 2021. It has lap swimmers in the morning and families throughout the rest of the day. There is a separate Toddler Pool for children age 7 and under that was also resurfaced in 2021. An outdoor shower is available for the convenience of our residents.

The tennis court was resurfaced by Dobbs Tennis Courts and the facility was given new equipment.

These facilities are only for the use of Legend Oaks I HOA residents.
