Mt. Tam Canvas Workers [MTCW] was founded in 2001 and is the Marin County Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild [ANG]. Our purpose is to support the art and craft of needlepoint through participation and education.

The chapter currently has about 25 members. Our calendar lists our activities for the year. Our monthly programs feature short needlework projects, lectures on needlework related topics, needlework demonstrations, finishing techniques, and use of color. Once a year, we hold a workshop featuring national teachers who give a 2-day program.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in needlepoint. The chapter meets on the third Saturday of the month except November and December. The meeting starts at 10:00 a.m. and the monthly program begins right after the meeting.

We invite you to look over our website. Under “contact us” you will find directions to our meeting, our membership contact if you want to join, and a link for questions.
