NorthWest Rhythmic is a rhythmic gymnastics school in Twin Cities, Minnesota. Rhythmic gymnastics is often mistaken for artistic gymnastics, dance, or ribbon dancing. Rhythmic gymnastics, unlike dance or ribbon dancing, is an Olympic sport. Girls can compete individually or as a group with ropes, hoops, balls, clubs, or ribbons. This year, for the first time since 2004, Team USA qualified an individual gymnast to the Olympic Games in Rio. 

 

What makes rhythmic gymnastics so unique is its combination of the creativity of dance, flexibility and elegance of traditional ballet training, and the complexity of different apparatus used during the gymnastics routines. 

 

NorthWest Rhythmic offers Beginner and Recreational Rhythmic Gymnastics programs for toddlers (ages 3 to 4) and older girls (ages 5 and older). We also offer high quality Competitive and Stretching and Conditioning programs. Our Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics program is one of the best offered in Minnesota– NorthWest Rhythmic is the home to many local, state, regional, national and international champions and medalists including 3 USA National Team Members. The stretching and conditioning program is offered to dancers, figure skaters, and other athletes interested in improving their strength and flexibility.
