A FEW WORDS FROM ROB

WHY DO I LOVE RECRUITING?

I love it because it’s about people and about process and I thrive on both of those.

I’m often accused of having a recruitment process that is too thorough and is more suited to executive recruitment than sales or management, and those persons are probably correct. However, don’t my clients and my applicants deserve the same thoroughness? For an employer, hiring the right employee is just as essential as the applicant getting the right job.

WHY DO I LOVE RETAIL CONSULTING?

Because it’s about retail, about people, and about business, all areas I have specialised in over my career.

I work mostly with independent retailers who don’t have the support structure of the nationals and internationals, and where the proprietor has the responsibility for all facets of the business including stock purchasing, people management, merchandising, advertising, selling, budgeting and lease negotiations.

WHY DO I LOVE BUSINESS BROKING?

Because I love selling, I love business, and I love people, and business broking combines all of these.

I am a qualified Certified Practising Business Broker and member of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers, and a councillor and member of the Western Australian Business Brokers Association, and operate my business broking business under the licence of Realty Executives.

I work for clients in both the metro area and the country, however, because of my love of the country, I thrive on those assignments. Either way, it would be great to connect with you.
