The International Society for Human Simulation was founded in 2010 as a nonprofit corporation fostering communication among human simulation professionals.

As the principal technical society devoted to the advancement of human simulation, ISHS  has attracted members from many industry, academic, and government organizations.

The society's conference, the International Summit on Human Simulation, is intended to provide a forum for discussion and collaboration in the use of human simulation technology between corporations, academia, and government.
