Arindam came in contact with Turning Point five years ago. He loved singing very much and always longed for a platform to express his talents. He suffered from insecurity about his future after his mother’s demise.

Debojyoti knocked on the door of Turning Point when he was very restless, confused & non-productive. Moreover, he was very aggressive & violent too. After joining Turning Point & participating in the daily activities of Turning Point he realized that he could do some jobs. He realised he has a separate identity. He is not merely a person with mental illness only.  Slowly he realized that he was a good actor and could work on the computer. Slowly he set up his own photocopy computer typing shop.

He was extremely creative. He tried his hand to mould statues & was able to do it too. Debojyoti is now doing well. His new identity is that of an artist & owner of his own enterprise.

When Dipan first came to Turning Point he had some obsessive trends and was quite slow. He was quite shy and was unable to interact with people. Dipan always kept to himself. Through different therapies, Play, counselling and vocational training he understood how to ignore & manage obsessions and compulsions.

Dipan slowly started taking responsibility in Turning Point. Dipan developed an insight regarding his obsessive thoughts which was hindering his growth. His various skills like drawing and colouring made the shackles of mental illness fall apart.  Of late Dipan has taken on new responsibilities like coming first to Turning Point & opening its door. Dipan helps his friends in Turning Point when they get stuck in their work. He teaches Computers regularly. His new role is satisfying him & he dreams to be independent soon.
