Bring your own boat for even more adventures

With its own mooring and the sheltered anchorage available within Ardnamir Bay on the Isle of Luing, Torsa is the perfect base for a sailing or power boat holiday using your own boat. Launching facilities are available at the ferry slipway on Luing or from the beach at Ardnamir, and with well established marinas and chandlers in the area you are well provided for in every way. There are plenty of opportunities for exploring the area with Loch Melfort, the islands of the Firth of Lorn, Shuna Island, Jura and the Corryvreckan whirlpool waiting to be visited.torsa eve4.jpg

Transport to Torsa is via a rigid tubed dinghy called Cutty which is kept on a running mooring in Ardnamir Bay on the Isle of Luing. In the summer months Cutty can be used to explore further a field when weather permits, but in the more wintery months from beginning of November to the end of April use is restricted to within Ardinamir Bay.

Ingress/egress is by stepping over the side of her (approx. 1m height) onto the stone beach which has seaweed and could be slippy.

Please bear this in mind if you have leg or hip concerns.

There is no jetty, pontoon, pier, dock etc, which is why we recommend wellies!
