About me: I write stories where our fears and needs confront our world and our lives. Modern life is a continuous series of future shocks, and they hurt, and they come more and more often now. Since childhood I have been a successful early-adopter, of tools, machines, and cultural trends, but I am also a classicist. I try to keep in mind, and learn from, at least some of the intriguing humanity that came before me. I think it cushions the shock.
