Outdoor Burning Information

A burn permit is required in the DRROA subdivision.
Please note:
Burn permits WILL NOT be issued if there is a current burn ban or Red Flag situation.
When a “Burn Ban” is in effect a sign is posted at both entrances – River Ranch and Kings Ranch Drive

Bandera River Ranch subdivision is a small acreage residential community nestled in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and is located approximately four miles south of Bandera off TX Hwy 16 S., approximately 30 minutes northwest of San Antonio.
The community was developed between 1972-1977 and consists of (800) eight hundred acres of beautiful country home sites ranging from 1/2 to 1 acre lots, many with gorgeous views that overlook the Medina River, Privilege Creek Bluff or back up to private ranches.
Currently, there are approximately 350 single family residential homes with custom homes continuing to be built.
This community offers members many fine amenities including swimming pool, tennis, and basketball courts, a large covered pavilion with outdoor kitchen and grille, playground, picnic areas and a 24-acre park along the Medina River.

When using any of the DRROA amenities, please make sure to carry your membership card with you.  Please call the Office for River Park gate and the sports courts combination.

Playground and Pavilion at Overview Park

Playground  The playground is a great place for families to take their children to play. Thank you to the many people who donated money and time that make it all possible! Grilles, tables and benches are available next to the playground, tennis & basketball courts.

PavillionOur large, covered pavilion has an outdoor kitchen with running water and a large grill available. The pavilion is available to rent for parties seven days a week, except on holiday weekends, with a refundable deposit to DRROA residents and property owners. Please come to the DRROA office and make your reservations at least two weeks in advance. The pavilion and/or pool can only be rented twice per season per member. Residents and property owners must remain with their guests for the duration of the rental. All garbage must be hauled off to receive your deposit back in full.

The tennis and basketball courts see a lot of action, so come on out and enjoy the great exercise and sunshine. The courts remain locked to make sure they are used by members and their guests only and members must remain with their guests while the courts are in use.  Be sure to call the DRROA office during business hours to get the latest code.

Swimming Pool & Gazebo at Overview Park

Pool

Membership and guest cards are checked by Park Attendants or office staff during operating hours.
You can view the schedule/ hours at the mail center and office bulletin boards or at the bottom of the Pool tab.
Parties can be booked by calling the DRROA Office during business hours.
Pool reservations must be made two weeks in advance and can only be made twice a season per member.
The pool is not available for rent on Sundays or holiday weekends and all garbage must be hauled off to receive a full return on your deposit. Make sure to come by the DRROA office to purchase guest cards prior to bringing guests to the pool and members must remain with their guests.

River Park

River Park

Our 24-acre River Park is a wonderful place to have a picnic, camp overnight or all weekend right on the banks of the Medina River. Available seven days a week, there are three sites available with newly renovated tables and new grilles at each site.  Call HOA office for entry code.

Park Permits are issued at the DRROA Office for residents and property owners; be sure to call and make your reservations at least two weeks in advance. A $75 refundable deposit is required (Garbage left behind will result in a $15 per bag fee).

River Ranch Mail Center        RRMC-1

The two mail centers, located on River Ranch Drive and Settlers Lane, are a great place to meet your neighbors, check on HOA and Water Board monthly agendas and see other community information on the bulletin boards. Both mail centers have been expanded to accommodate our current residents with room for new ones.
