Did you know they were so different?
We will start with the FIFTH WHEEL!
THE FIFTH WHEEL
A Fifth Wheel, uses a special hitch, attached to the bed of a truck. The truck backs up to the Fifth Wheel, backing this hitch onto the fifth wheel. This helps with turning abilities, weight distribution, and can make driving and handling easier. It also has more room, because it goes over the end of the truck!
THE TRAVEL TRAILER
This is a TRAVEL TRAILER. It is pulled by a hitch attached to the tow vehicle. Sway bars added to the hitch make it easier to pull more places. These come in different lengths and floorplans by many different makers.
A SMALL TRAVEL TRAILER
This is a small A-Frame Travel Trailer. These usually have an outdoor kitchen, with a bed and some storage on the inside.
A POP-UP TRAVEL TRAILER
This a trailer that folds up for easy towing. It pops up and you have beds on each end, with a kitchen, sitting area, and storage area.
TRUCK CAMPER
This camper fits on the back of your truck. These may look small, but they have everything you need on the inside, including a bathroom!
MOTORHOMES CLASS A, CLASS B, CLASS C
THE CLASS A MOTORHOME
This type of camper is self-contained. It is driven with either regular gas or diesel. It has everything you need - beds, kitchen, and bath. There are many options to choose from on these large, bus-like RVs. Small vehicles can be towed behind these.
THE CLASS B MOTORHOME
They are built on a van chasis. These will have a living area, kitchen, bathroom possibly with shower, a bed area and storage options.
THE CLASS C MOTORHOME
Class C Motorhomes are built on a truck chasis. These will have a living area, kitchen, bathroom with bathtub and/or shower, a bedroom and sleeping or storage above the cab area. Small vehicles can be towed behind these.
