Welcome
The Old Mission Peninsula Historical Society of Old Mission, Michigan (OMPHS) was founded in 1992 by a core group of citizens concerned about saving the Hessler Log Cabin which is now located on the grounds of the Mission Point Lighthouse. The society's work continues with monthly historical presentations, a memorial tree program, an American chestnut tree program, and volunteer support of the Peninsula Township's historic sites.
