Joe Mond Private VW Collection – July Tour

July 5th & July 6 Dubuque, IA

For those interested in trip to Dubuque to visit Joe Mond’s VW collection on Saturday July 6. Camping is available July 5 and 6 ( you have to book two nights) at Mud Lake Park 6 miles north of Dubuque on the Big Muddy. 8 sites open as of today (3/30/24). Book soon! Its a holiday weekend! Only 30% of the campsites at Mud Lake Park campground can be reserved online. The other 70% are first come, first served. Campsites used for reservations that are not reserved can be used on a first come, first served basis. A list of campsites that are reserved will be posted in the campground kiosk and a yellow tag displayed on the site.

A Club favorite event: Camp Eleva! Bring a favorite food or dish for the communal breakfasts and definitely don’t forget a Hot Wheel for the tournament on Saturday. Learn more about this totally free camping event at Lake Eleva Park in Eleva, Wisconsin.

Good Old-Fashion Fun

Excited to get out and use those VWs for what they were made for: CAMPING! Don’t worry– if you have a Volkswagen that was made for the road only, you are welcome to tent it. Stanley, Wisconsin may be a bit out of the way for you, but a stop at the World of Carz is worth the trip! We recently attended their All Volkswagen show and had a blast… Our next Club event will be Camp Eleva at the end of August.
