Tracy K quite effortlessly blurs the lines between Blues, Jazz and their sub genres, crossing over into roots rock, adult contemporary, folk, and country. Being so flexible within a multitude of styles makes it difficult to define Tracy K in the systemically categorical nature of the music business. Discovering Bonnie Raitt and Koko Taylor some forty five years ago informed Tracy K’s musical knowledge of Blues legends and other celebrated songwriters. This is what inspired Tracy K’s broad, unique blend of musical tastes. But for all intents and purposes she has been labeled a Blues artist, and it is evident in her Joplin-esque vocals, passionate delivery, songwriting, harmonica skill and festival friendly stage personna.
