Orchid Exploration: An Orchid Auction and Educational Event
Join us for a one-day orchid auction and educational event. View member orchid displays, attend educational presentations, get advice from society members on orchid culture questions. Some member plants/divisions and supplies will be available for sale. Some children activities too.

Orchid Auction starts at 2:30 (register in advance to bid)

Winnegamie Dog Club, 2043 Manitowoc Rd, Menasha, WI
General admission
Free to public. Donations appreciated.
Orchid Repotting (10-2 pm)
Repotting Demo, by Lorraine Heyden will repot your orchid, $2-$10 depending on potting medium and pot size to cover cost of supplies
Orchid Auction (2:30 pm)
- Usually a wide variety of plants to choose from, many of which are divisions of larger plants from club members.
- To purchase auction items, cash and checks are accepted. No credit cards.
- Some, but not all plants will be in spike or bloom.
- Many at very reasonable prices compared to buying a new plant at a show or from a vendor.
- Much more variety to choose from than Home Depot.
- Plus you can talk to the original plant owner to get growing tips.
Schedule
9:30 am – Doors open (enter Door #1)
10:00 am – Presentation – Wisconsin Native Orchids by Rob Zimmer (Outdoors with Rob Zimmer | WHBY)
11:30 am – Panel Discussion / Q&A – Bill and Richard – topics may include orchid pests, mounting orchids, summering orchids outdoors, general orchid culture, etc.
1:00 pm – Presentation – Brian DeGroot – Growing Orchids Semi-Hydroponically
2:30 pm – Orchid auction (register to bid in advance)
