WE ARE EXCITED TO PRESENT
The Golden Age of Illustrated Fairy Tales.
There is something to love, hate, think and laugh about for anyone who is, or was once, a child.
Once upon a time, there was a world-wide pandemic and across America, the McGown Teachers Workshops were cancelled. The time was right to get to work on the passion project that Robin Rennie of Northern Workshop and I had been discussing. Namely, bringing classic fairy tale illustrations, to the rug hooking community. We each have hundreds of favorites, so the decisions on what patterns to include were made by the generous artists of the McGown Workshop Series. While each piece seems highly detailed, with the help of each hooker, the patterns were recreated with an eye towards “hook-ability”. These pieces range from five feet tall to twelve inches and cuts as wide as 12, on down to 3s mixed with those threads everyone loves! We are excited to present the Golden Age of Illustrated Fairy Tales, there is something to love, hate, think and laugh about for anyone who is, or was once, a child. Melissa Pattacini
