Created, produced and copyrighted by the Petersen family, it all began in Annette Petersen’s old-fashioned kitchen on a farm in Concord, MA. She painted pictures from nursery rhymes on the walls of the children’s playroom and handmade a dollhouse.
Annette combined her love of nature and its creatures with her imagination and natural artistic ability to make owls crafted from stones to sell in local shops. Her first mouse (named Miss Mouse, of course!) with her bonnet and basket was created and thus, Wee Forest Folk was born! Growing up surrounded by their mother’s creative influences son, Willy and daughter, Donna began to develop their own artistic talents. Both joined their mother’s enterprise and the next generation had begun!
Read Our StoryI have been collecting "Wee Forest Folk" since 1975, when we lived in Concord. I have also bought them for family members anytime I see a suitable one. They make me very happy and I know, those who receive one enjoy them, too.

I have over 100 Wee Forest Folk mice and have been collecting them since 1984. My Wee Forest Folk Collection brings me lots of joy and is a great conversation piece for guests in my home. They are displayed prominently in an oak case in the entrance of my home. Thanks!
