Parkfest 2024
When: Sunday, August 18th, from 11am – 4:30pm.
Where: Redfern Park on Leighton Rd.
If you are interested in volunteering with us that day, please send us an email to engage@southjubilee.ca with subject heading, “Volunteer at Parkfest”.
We will provide food and beverages, and lots of fun!
Community Yard Sale
When: Saturday, July 27th, from 9am – 1pm.
Where: In the South Jubilee area, at the residence of those who will like to participate as sellers.
Please REGISTER HERE if you are interested in getting involved as a seller. Buyers are not required to register before the event.

Community Association Land Use Committee (CALUC)

Greening Committee
South Jubilee Neighbourhood Association volunteers is creating and and will maintain the Redfern Park Commons Community Garden. Construction is scheduled to take place from September 2022 to late Spring 2023. Learn more about Redfern Park Commons Community Garden project here.

Monthly Plastics Recycling
Where: The parking lot of the Bank Street School at the corner of Bank St and Leighton Rd
When: Once a month, on the second Saturday from 10:00am to noon. Please check the calendar for updates to the schedule.
Payment is by donation. Our neighbourhood association pays ReFuse, our recycling partner, by the number of 36″ X 48″ bags we collect.
Please check our recycling page for the list of acceptable items.
New recycling volunteers are always welcome and appreciated. Contact the committee at sjna@southjubilee.ca
Bank Street School Site Committee
This committee meets on an as-needed basis to discuss ways to engage with the District 69 School Board and City of Victoria, on the future of this site, with the vision that the building can be upgraded (a 2022 engineering report indicated it can be remediated) and revitalized for educational, cultural, day care, community, and other potential purposes.
